Client Situation:

Nakshatra is a leading online jewellery brand owned by the Gitanjali group in India. Over the last couple of years, the online jewellery segment has seen increased competition in the market and rapid growth in consumer preferences. The team at Nakshatra was looking to build an Omni channel ecommerce experience, while improving usability and ease of purchase.

What We Did:

The team at HGS Interactive conducted an audit for the old website and came back with recommendations for usability, design and technology. Based on our recommendations the Nakshatra team decided to go for a revamp.

We redesigned the Nakshatra world site, with a mobile first approach keeping in mind the target audience and the brand voice.

The portal is built on Magento ecommerce platform, with in-context purchase enabled for faster check outs. The portal is made with a SEO friendly architecture to help with local mobile searches.

Use of dynamic taxonomy and quick product search on the portal, helps consumers during purchase and improves user experience.

Outcome for the Client:

  • The portal was launched in October 2016 and has seen organic growth month on month.
  • The portal has an average visit of 5 pages, with a visit time of 7 minutes; which shows increased engagement by users.
